Notes: Opened on this day in 1921, and replacing Southwark Iron Bridge. I crossed it from Southwark to the City, then took the underpass that is Fruiterers Passage (which had a selection of historic drawings of the bridge printed onto the tilework) and then crossed back to Southwark. I said “Hello” and “Happy birthday” to it, and gave it a friendly pat on the stonework.
